# Adobe Sign

> Let your workflows send agreements for signature and collect the signed PDFs.

The Adobe Sign integration lets your workflows find agreements, read who signed, download the signed PDF, send a new agreement for signature, and send reminders.

## Before you start

You need three things:

* The **admin** role in the Current workspace.
* An Adobe Sign user that can send agreements.
* A contact in the Current contacts directory for each person that your workflows send agreements to.

<Warning>
  Current sends an agreement only to known contacts. Adobe Sign sends an email to each signer, so Current checks each signer, each copy recipient, and each reminder recipient against the contacts directory first. If one address is not a contact, Current refuses the complete request and sends nothing.
</Warning>

### Which Adobe Sign user to sign in with

The role of the user sets the access of the connection:

| Role in Adobe Sign | What the connection sees |
| - | - |
| Account administrator | All agreements and templates of the Adobe Sign account. |
| Other user | The agreements and templates of that user only. |

Adobe Sign sends each agreement in the name of this user. The signers see this name in the email.

## Install

    <Check>
      The **Adobe Sign** row shows the green **Connected** badge, with the name of the Adobe Sign user.
    </Check>
  </Step>
</Steps>

## The permissions

| Permission | Purpose |
| - | - |
| `user_read` | Read the name and email of the signed-in user, to label the connection. |
| `agreement_read` | List agreements, read their status, and download the PDF. |
| `agreement_write`, `agreement_send` | Send agreements for signature, and send reminders. |
| `library_read` | List the library templates. |

## What a workflow can do

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| `adobe_sign_list_agreements` | Lists agreements, newest first. It can search names and participants. |
| `adobe_sign_get_agreement` | Shows one agreement and the status of each participant. |
| `adobe_sign_list_templates` | Lists the library templates. |
| `adobe_sign_download_agreement` | Downloads an agreement as one PDF. |
| `adobe_sign_send_agreement` | Sends a file or a template for signature. The signers sign in the sequence of the list. |
| `adobe_sign_send_reminder` | Sends a reminder to each participant who did not sign yet. |

A workflow cannot cancel an agreement. Cancel it in Adobe Sign.

## Verify the installation

Open a workflow that reads Adobe Sign and click **Run now**. Read the run history in the action drawer.

<Check>
  A run that lists your agreements confirms the connection.
</Check>

## Remove the integration

Go to **Settings** > **Integrations**. Click **Disconnect** on the **Adobe Sign** row, then confirm.

A disconnection removes the token from Current. Current also cancels the token at Adobe Sign. Agreements that a workflow sent stay in Adobe Sign, and the signers can still sign them.
